Hey Siri, Remind Me To...

While daily routines often come to mind as a strategy to help us with efficiency, organization and overall time management, it is important to remember the monthly or yearly actions that we need to take to be successful long-term. For students, this might mean resetting goals, reflecting on their progress report data or emptying their full binders. For grown ups, monthly or yearly routines might include paying bills, re-examining budgets, cleaning the air filters, or bringing the trash to the curb. All of these actions require forethought and help us to best manage our time and our life.

Fortunately, Reminders is a digital tool that makes these irregular routines a little simpler to remember. With Apple’s Reminders app, you can set a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or custom routine and even organize your tasks into lists. For instance: Bills or Household Chores. You may set a reminder to make an appointment for your annual physical, to check-in with a friend or even to descale your Nespresso machine. Reminders has a lot of awesome functions that make this even easier. Did you know that you can say “Hey Siri… remind me to buy toilet paper next time I am in the car?” or “Hey Siri… remind me to talk to my teacher when I get to school every Thursday.” Now, there are no excuses! Because we all get by with a little help from our robot friends 😉
