Summer Solved Spotlight: What's Next on Netflix Club

Summer is coming up fast, and we have some exciting groups this summer! Over the next few weeks we’ll be highlighting some of our favorites.

What’s Next on Netflix Club

Combine your love for Netflix with learning and improving your EF skills.  Students will choose a show or movie to watch, and work to improve skills relating to theme exploration, character analysis, foreshadowing, making inferences, and organizing thoughts.  Students will also learn to watch without binging, prioritize without stressing, and have fun without ignoring other responsibilities.

This club allows me to teach students not just EF skills around planning and creating incentives as a motivator, but also gives us an opportunity to improve our reading and writing comprehension skills.  Students always pick great new shows (or movies) for us to watch, and I’m able to help them learn new skills in an extremely fun and engaging way.  Students also like that there is no written component; instead they work on improving their conversational and discussion skills.  Plus, who doesn’t love watching a show or movie for homework!
