Google Calendar Tips & Tricks

While Google Calendar isn’t a new tool to most of us, it still is one of the most comprehensive and effective tools to build executive function systems and keep our busy lives organized.  Here are a few tips and tricks to help make sure you are maximizing your google calendar: 

  • Create different calendars for different areas of your life: creating separate calendars for school and work or your personal life and housing them all on Google Calendar is a great way to ensure that all of your appointments and  events are in one place. 

  • Add attachments:  Use this strategy to attach meeting agendas to your calendar to share with the whole team.  Or it’s a great way to keep track and organize your class notes.  Now you will always remember exactly which class you covered what. 

  • Enable working hours:  Use this tools to help you set boundaries around your home life (especially if you are someone that works from home)!  

  • Use desktop notifications:  If you use your calendar to time block or breakdown which assignments you should be working on when, enable  desktop notifications to help keep you focused and on task.
