Digital Organization
As you return to the classroom from winter break, January is the perfect time to get yourself organized! We spend so much of our time on our devices, that we sometimes forget that the digital clutter can also have an impact on our ability to focus. Taking a few minutes to devote to a digital declutter can help improve your focus, productivity and lower your stress levels!
Digital Organization Checklist:
Computer:
Clear your desktop
Are your work/school websites/log-ins saved as favorites in your internet browser?
Rename documents so you know exactly what they are
Organize documents into folders (tip try to organize by class/subject)
Delete your downloads
Check for & install computer updates
Phone:
Turn off social media notifications
Delete or put timers/blockers on apps that are distracting
Make sure push notifications are turned off for calendars, reminders, to-do list, etc.
Set up focus time to correspond with homework/working hours
Unsubscribe (from texts, emails, etc)
